DGM120

Our pressure casting plant DGM120 is used for the efficient forming of tableware, ovenware, vases, bottles and other housewares made of ceramic slip (e.g. porcelain, hard-paste porcelain, stoneware and bone china) by hollow or solid casting.

The pressure casting molds, made of porous synthetic material and consisting of two parts, are clamped to the two clamping platens by means of a quick-action clamping system. Closing force and installation space are well-suited to the production both of large articles in single-cavity molds and of smaller articles in multi-cavity molds or several independent molds. The geometry of the article as well as reliefs, inscriptions and logos will be reproduced in a very precise way.

A toggle lever mechanism operated by electricity and installed at the moveable clamping platen opens and closes the pressure casting molds while a short-stroke cylinder installed at the stationary clamping platen will adjust the closing pressure to the increasing slip pressure inside the mold during casting. The cast articles will be taken out of the molds in vertical position either manually or by means of a robot.
